How do you ensure fabric colors won’t fade or bleed over time?

Our multi-stage colorfastness protocol is engineered to ensure fabric colors won’t fade or bleed across the full product lifecycle — from IQC raw material screening through pre-shipment dispatch. All dye sourcing and testing procedures align with ISO 105 Colorfastness Testing Standards.

How We Ensure Fabric Colors Won’t Fade or Bleed: Testing Protocol

Three structured QC stages govern color integrity on every bulk order:

1. Eco-Compliant Dye Sourcing (OEKO-TEX & REACH): Non-toxic, high-quality dyes compliant with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and EU REACH regulations are sourced per strict supply chain specifications. Advanced dyeing techniques ensure deep fiber penetration rather than mere surface coating, minimizing premature fading risks.
2. Wet & Dry Crocking Tests: Crockmeter-based rub resistance testing is performed (either in-house or via certified third-party labs) on random fabric samples. Any batch exceeding agreed AQL dye-transfer thresholds is strictly rejected before release to the cutting floor.
3.UV & Wash Fastness Testing: Fabrics are subjected to artificial UV light chambers simulating prolonged sun exposure, alongside rigorous wash and water-resistance tests to confirm dye stability against rain and mild cleaning. (Note: For materials with natural color-transfer characteristics, such as raw denim or specific genuine leathers, acceptable tolerances are explicitly defined and documented during the sampling phase.)

All approved fabrics are benchmarked against the confirmed golden sample. Review our full testing framework via Fabric Quality & Colorfastness Testing Policy or Request Colorfastness Test Reports for Your Order.

Actionable Advice

Before bulk production sign-off, contractually specify your minimum colorfastness grade requirements — including crocking and UV fastness ratings — within your Pre-Production Tech Pack Submission Guidelines.

Pre-agreed tolerance thresholds create auditable, measurable benchmarks that materially reduce post-delivery color variance disputes across future production cycles.
